Another great online tournament hosted by Chess and Jazz Berlin. This time I really won some rating points! Did I play the Botez Gambit though? Have a watch and find out

It’s not every day your opponent misses a forced win through under-promotion to a knight. Always threaten mate on G2 with the queen bishop battery to keep your opponents on their toes
As someone who favors bishops over knights, it’s not often I get to checkmate my opponent with a knight. Even rarer are the times I imagine my opponent wishes they didn’t have a bishop. But such things do happen, and when they do, it’s quite enjoyable to watch
Went 2.5/5 to finish 13th out of 30 in Chess and Jazz Berlin’s April Chess 960 tournament. Won or drew the games not playing the Botez Gambit, lost both games playing the Botez Gambit.
93.6 accuracy king’s gambit, played in great style. My bishops got a raise after the work they did
The world chess championship gets interesting fast! A great game that shakes things up in the WCC, with fantastic coverage by Agadmator
Another sharp line of the king’s gambit! Played on chess.com, my last 30 moves were made in less than 10 seconds, and with only 12 seconds left on the clock
Sometimes the best move is a move with the knight back. Rarely is the best move a move with the knight to the rim
The most beautiful game I’ve seen come out of the Berlin. Levon Aronian vs Vladimir Kramnik 2018
The story of Bobby Fischer is one of the cold war, a controversial figure, he both represented the free world while at the same time being his own man and criticizing the United States. Join me as I celebrate what would’ve been Fischer’s 80th birthday with some blitz games!
